Pulmolux is a complete solution for ventilation, perfusion and structural mapping of the lung using conventional MRI. Short, comfortable imaging protocols that are easily tailored to your circumstances allow Pulmolux to unlock a wealth of functional and structural information in 3D without the need for complex and expensive preparations, ionising radiation or additional software.
Conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), pulmonary embolism (PE) and cystic fibrosis (CF) can be difficult to characterise and complex to manage. Localised alterations in lung function can play a key role with wide variabilities between individuals and throughout the time course of the disease. Conventional radiological imaging has become a crucial tool in understanding many pulmonary conditions, but information on lung structure is only part of the picture.
